So much information, so many tips on growing your business – but what about real examples that actually work? Today, we’re diving into the TOP lessons every entrepreneur should master about LinkedIn before scaling.

To give you the most practical tips, we spoke with two amazing founders who have successfully used the platform to scale their companies:

They shared what actually works – from optimizing a profile to attract investors and partners to content strategies that spark real engagement.

To attract the attention of investors and potential partners on LinkedIn, having a great product or service sadly is not enough. You need to work on how you present your results and engage with your network.

A key factor in getting noticed is the visibility of your growth. For Frank, showcasing success upfront is crucial. He highlights the importance of using your LinkedIn profile to demonstrate your company’s trajectory: “The two key things that investors notice are headcount growth and the numbers you highlight. For instance, my Featured section highlights how we scaled from $0 to $3 million in one year, which instantly communicates our success to investors.”

Getting Noticed by Investors & Partners

Visibility, of course, goes beyond just numbers – it’s also about consistent engagement. Dovilė emphasizes that showing up regularly and being part of the ongoing conversation is essential. “For me, it wasn’t about a magic growth hack, but showing up consistently and being part of the conversation in my field. Sharing insights, experiences, and stories that spark discussions helped my content reach a wider audience.”

Engaging with the right people is just as important. Rather than passively waiting for attention, both entrepreneurs stress the value of proactive interaction. Dovilė shares, “Instead of waiting for my posts to get noticed, I made an effort to comment on posts from industry leaders and potential partners.”

Authenticity is another important factor. Dovilė further explains, “When I shared real experiences and struggles, it resonated with people more than polished success stories.” This transparency helps build trust and allows potential partners or investors to see the person behind the business.

Once you've caught the attention of potential investors and partners, the next step is ensuring your LinkedIn profile clearly communicates who you are, what you do, and why you’re worth following or connecting with.

For Frank, his profile optimization is centered around showcasing the tangible value his business brings. He focuses on making his profile a narrative of success, highlighting results and key milestones that reflect the impact of his work. “Investors check your content to understand your success. Your LinkedIn profile should capture that in a concise, compelling way – making it clear what your business has achieved and how you plan to continue that growth.”

A great LinkedIn profile makes it easy for people to understand what you do. Dovilė agrees, explaining that your profile should act as a landing page that helps people instantly grasp your value. She emphasizes personalizing your headline: “I made it clear what I actually do and who I help. Instead of just saying Founder & CEO, I wrote, ‘I’ll help you with productivity and project management.’” She also highlights the importance of a clear and compelling "About" section, focusing on why you do what you do, rather than just listing job titles.a

Optimizing Your LinkedIn Profile to Appeal to Your Target Audience

An often overlooked but powerful part of LinkedIn profile optimization is the use of visuals. Dovilė shares that a custom banner image adds another layer of credibility, stating, “I added a banner image that visually reinforces my work. It’s simple but strong – it immediately gives context to what I do.”

And while it might seem small, adding media like demo videos, case studies, or customer testimonials to your profile can significantly enhance its appeal. Frank advises, “Make sure your profile doesn’t just list accomplishments. Include media, customer testimonials, or demos to show your work in action.”

Content Strategies for Scaling Your Business on LinkedIn

Once you’ve mastered the art of getting noticed and optimizing your LinkedIn profile, the next step is creating content that resonates with your target audience. Both entrepreneurs we chatted with emphasize the importance of being authentic and consistent with your LinkedIn posts to build engagement and credibility.

For Frank, the key to success on LinkedIn is providing value through well-thought-out content that addresses the challenges of his target audience. “You have to provide value. It’s not about just posting to post. It’s about creating meaningful content that solves problems, shares insights, and sparks conversations.” He finds that a mix of content, including case studies, customer stories, and industry insights, has worked wonders in reaching potential investors and partners.

Dovilė takes a similar approach, but she also stresses the importance of variety in content types to keep her audience engaged. She suggests mixing personal stories, professional lessons, and industry trends. “I try to share a mix of personal insights, mistakes I’ve made, and lessons learned. People respond to that human side of things more than polished, perfect stories.”

Both entrepreneurs emphasize the importance of posting regularly without overloading your followers. Dovilė recommends posting two to three times a week to avoid burnout, “It’s all about consistency, but not overwhelming yourself or your followers. You don’t need to post every day – just make sure it’s valuable and purposeful.” Frank agrees, stating that pacing is crucial, and over-posting can lead to diminishing returns. “Quality over quantity. Posting too often won’t do you any good if the content doesn’t add value.”

By mixing up content types, staying authentic, and engaging consistently with your audience, you can create a LinkedIn presence that not only attracts attention but also builds meaningful relationships that drive growth.

To establish credibility on LinkedIn creating great content isn’t enough. You have to showcase who you are, what you stand for, and why people should trust you.

Both Frank and Dovilė highlight that LinkedIn is not just a platform for broadcasting your business, but also for building long-term relationships with potential investors, clients, and collaborators.

Frank’s approach to credibility is grounded in transparency and results. He knows that numbers and proven success speak volumes. “For me, it’s all about showing the results. When people see your success, they know you know what you’re doing.” By sharing case studies, client successes, and milestones (such as scaling to $3 million in a year), Frank establishes trust by proving his business’s tangible impact.

Building Credibility and Trust Before Scaling

Both entrepreneurs emphasize the importance of a well-rounded LinkedIn profile, including key sections such as:

  • Effective headline.

  • Clear ‘About’ section.

  • High-quality photo.

  • Powerful banner that shows the key selling points of the business.

  • Including a voice message.

  • Filling in the key information in ‘Experience’ section.

To take credibility a step further, both entrepreneurs recommend leveraging recommendations and social proof. Dovilė, for example, uses LinkedIn’s Featured section to highlight the best content and key achievements, while Frank advises actively seeking endorsements from clients and collaborators to add credibility to your profile.

In the end, building credibility is a long-term game, but by consistently sharing valuable content, engaging authentically, and showcasing your achievements and challenges, you’ll lay the foundation for trust that can scale as your business grows.
